“I never expected anyone to take care of me, but in my wildest dreams and juvenile yearnings, I wanted the house with the picket fence from June Allyson movies. I knew that was yearning like one yearns to fly.”
– Maya Angelou
Here I am building this cute little fence along the side of the Mountlake Terrace remodel. It turned out so modern and fresh! A big thank you to my husband who dug the holes and cemented them in square and level.
Maya Angelou died today. A wonderful female role model. I agree that if you want something, you step up and do it yourself. They are not impossible wild dreams. Even the impossible is not always what it seems. I prefer this quote:
“Nothing is impossible, we just don’t know how to do it yet.” -L L Larison Cudmore
Building a fence seemed impossible to me. I’m happy I got in there and learned how to build my picket fence. Now I know how . That dream is no longer impossible. I look forward to possibility of building another fence!
Break it down. Take it one step at a time. Learn by doing!
What is something that seemed impossible to you that you learned how to do?
